OUR METHOD
Our Values
Curiosity & discovery
At La Maison, we adopt an approach inspired by the Montessori philosophy, putting the student at the heart of his or her musical learning. We create an environment where freely exploring music becomes a personal adventure. The idea? To let students follow their curiosity, guiding them without rushing them.
Here, we invite students to try their hand at everything from classical to rock, we explore! That’s how we keep learning alive and interesting. We know that if we pique their curiosity, they go further and learn better. And that goes for everyone, young and not-so-young.
Self-expression & creativity
Our school is the place where everyone finds their voice. Encouraging personal expression and creativity is a cornerstone of our programs.
Whether you’re the type to write your first symphony or improvise on the blues, we’re here to support you. We want every student to feel free to explore, to innovate. We believe it also encourages a deeper emotional connection with the music, making learning more rewarding.
Because it’s by being yourself that you grow, in music as elsewhere.
Sharing & community
La Maison isn’t just about music lessons. It’s a community.
You learn as much from the teachers as from the other students, because we help each other. At La Maison, the more advanced students help the beginners, and that creates bonds.
We share, we talk, we play, and that’s how we all progress together. This warm, supportive atmosphere means that, at La Maison, you don’t just come to learn music, you come to grow together, enriched by our shared experiences.
Our Approach
At La Maison, we have a clear approach for everyone, students and parents alike.
Clear milestones along the way
Here, everyone has all the information they need to project themselves as they grow and set goals.
For each year and each program, we’ve established identifiable milestones that enable students to project their skills and autonomy into the future. Students don’t walk blindly into the fog, they have a destination in mind, but the path is individualized and specific to each person.
Our experience as teachers has shown us that the journey is much more enjoyable when you know where you’ve come from and where you’re going.
A wide range of tools designed in-house
At La Maison, EVERYTHING has been designed by us
From the week-by-week curriculums to the books on which they are based, everything is tailor-made to promise the highest possible quality of teaching, regardless of your current stage of experience as a musician.
Our workshops, children’s games, theory courses, music history and musical exercises are no exception to the rule: we’ve left nothing to chance.
